Descripton
Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS) is a national system to consolidate and process motor carrier safety data from sources throughout the US. MCMIS contains safety records of active intrastate and interstate motor carriers, safety and compliance reviews, and roadside inspection records and crash records. MCMIS also carries a Safety Fitness Rating based on algorithms that evaluate all of a carrier's safety data. MCMIS also provides technical assistance to new and existing motor carriers in their compliance efforts by providing summaries of key regulations, required forms and other safety-related information.
