Description

Through a joint partnership, the Ohio Departments of Transportation, Public Safety and Commerce (specifically the State Fire Marshall) have developed a statewide traffic incident management program known as “Ohio QuickClear.” This program was initially intended as a way to protect our first responders by providing training on traffic control at highway incident scenes. It has become an all-encompassing incident management system that not only provides for the safety of responders and motorists but adds economic benefit by keeping traffic and commerce moving.

Further enhancements to the program’s effectiveness are being served by the Federal Highway Safety Administration's implementation of a nationally standardized training program for all response agencies with certified TIM instructors.
